Despite the effects of a prolonged global economic downturn, the IPTV industry appears to be holding its own, a development that caught at least one analyst firm off guard. Citing the fact that more than 35 new IPTV operations currently are under way, Multimedia Research Group revised upward its forecast for worldwide subscriber growth, which it had lowered last summer.
